HANNAH HOT SPRINGS - Latitude - 33.400, Longitude - 109.152, TempF - 133°. Perhaps the most isolated hot spring in the state of Arizona, Hannah is a true wilderness experience, requiring a hike of 14 miles round trip.

CLIFTON

CLIFTON HOT SPRINGS - Latitude - 33.055. Longitude - 109.295, TempF - 102°. Chase Creek, an intermittent stream until just above Clifton, becomes perennial at Clifton Hot Springs. These springs discharge from 404 gallons per minute to 1,302 gallons per minute. One of two of the highest temperature springs in the state. The water temperature at these springs ranges from 158-180 degrees fahrenheit.

EAGLE CREEK HOT SPRINGS - Latitude - 33.046, Longitude - 109.440, TempF - 97°. Two unusual hot springs on a steep slope in a tributary canyon to Eagle Creek.

GILLARD HOT SPRINGS - Latitude - 32.971, Longitude - 109.350, TempF - 180°. An extremely hot source of water bubbling into the Gila River in an isolated portion of southeastern Arizona.

HOLBROOK

VERDE HOT SPRINGS - Latitude - 34.357, Longitude - 111.710, TempF - 104°. Take I-17 to the Camp Verde exit, then AZ-260 to Fossil Creek Rd., which is FSR-708. Turn right and go southeast for about 15 miles, then go south on FSR-502 another 7 miles to Childs. Park in camping area near the Verde River. Take trail upriver past the power plant to a dirt road and follow it to a river crossing that is marked with stones. Cross the river and go back downstream about a quarter-mile. Total hike is about 1 mile, including the river crossing. Springs feed two pools in a structure that reportedly were part of a resort that burned down in the thirties and was a hideout of Al Capone. Natural mineral water is 98º to 104º.

HOT WELL DUNES RECREATION AREA - A set of semi-developed hot wells in an isolated valley in southeast Arizona. The sands at the Hot Well Dunes Recreation Area were a beach surrounding a lake approximately two million years ago.
