Railroads
The Idaho Northern & Pacific Railroad Company, a collection of four (4) former Union Pacific Railroad branch lines, is a 210 mile property operating in Idaho and northeast Oregon. Shipments are predominately timber and forest products, agricultural products, and chemicals. The INPR challenges even the most skilled engineer to conquer the steep grades required to move timber products from the mountains to the plains. With an infrastructure maintained to the exacting specifications of a Class 1, INPR assures a quality service and an assured delivery to all of its customers. 119 North Commercial, Emmett, ID 83617, Phone: (208) 365-6353

The Idaho Southern and Pacific Railroad is a proposed 15" gauge 5/12" scale miniature railroad modeled after narrow gauge logging/mining railroads from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The first equipment to be constructed is a small four wheel work Jimmie car. I plan on building several of these work cars. Next is the construction of a 0-4-0 steam locomotive and diesel mechanical work loco. The plan is to eventual turn the railroad into a commercial venture in a local park or recreation area. We will also be selling railroad related gifts and supplies. Email: robert@jitterjunction.com

Montana Rockies Rail Tours operates the Montana Daylight, a tour train on MRL, between Sandpoint, ID and Livingston, MT. This a excursion/tour train that operates in the summer on MRL. It operates 3 levels of service utilizing coaches, domes and deluxe cars. Train includes a night in Gardiner with the Montana Blues Chuck Wagon Dinner Theater and a tour of the restored Livingston Depot Museum. 2660 West Ontario, Sandpoint, ID 83864, Phone: (800)519-7245, Email: mtrail@netw.com

Sumpter Valley Railway - Travel back to the days of steam railroading through gold and timber country. Watch up close as the crew fills the steam locomotive with water and couples on to antique narrow gauge passenger cars and caboose. Talk with the friendly train crew as they load passengers and prepare for the trip on a portion of the original "Stump Dodger". Climb aboard, sit back and relax and see what it was like to go by train in the early part of the last century. Phone: (541) 894-2268
