Box Canyon is the site of the 11th largest spring in North America,
which pours 180,000 gallons of water per minute into the Snake River.

Bruneau Dunes has one of the longest camping seasons in Idaho's system. Campers often start coming in March and continue to enjoy the park's warm weather late into the fall. Shade trees and shelters are abundant in the campground. A new group camp area with shelter and 25 sites has been added.

The Coeur d’Alene Parkway lies along the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, following Centennial Trail east from Coeur d'Alene to Higgens Point. At Higgens Point there is a boat-launch facility, a group picnic area overlooking the lake and moorage docks.

Yes. All group areas require advance reservations. Reservations are not required for individual camping sites but approximately 25% of the individual sites can be reserved. The remainder of the individual sites are available on a first come first serve basis.

In 1942 the U.S. Navy built the second-largest naval training center in the world on this site. Over a period of 15 months, 293,381 sailors received basic training at Farragut Naval Training Station. The park has many exhibits about Farragut's role in World War II, and other topics. Farragut navy reunions happen each September.

1.Where can I camp? Henry's Lake State Park, 1/2 hour away, or at Forest Service campgrounds nearby.
2.Where are the trains? There have never been trains at the Railroad Ranch. It was called that because the owners were investors in the railroad.

1. How can I arrange a trip into Hells Canyon?
There are several outfitters in the Lewiston area offering trips. You can depart right from the park's marina. Just ask at the office when you arrive.
2. Do I need a campsite reservation?
It isn't required, but reservations are strongly recommended, especially for summer weekends. Call 208-799-5015.

1.Is Heyburn State Park part of Coeur d'Alene Lake?
Yes we are located at the southern tip of what most people think of as Lake Coeur d'Alene. The Lakes making up this portion are, Lake Chatcolet, Benewah Lake, and Hidden Bay.
2.Do you have boat slips for rent or boats?
Yes we have moorage for boats in two different marinas. The Rocky Point Marina and The Chat Marina. We have three row boats which will be for rent for $6.00 per hour and $20.00 per day. Driving license will be asked to be left at marina at time of rental.

This day-use-only park is located on and near Lucky Peak Reservoir, just east of Boise. Lucky Peak was listed by Northwest Travel Magazine as one of the Northwest's top 25 parks.

This 652-acre park is located just off Interstate 84 at the Tuttle exit. People pass the park in an eye blink, never suspecting the spectacular canyon views that await them just a mile off the highway. Malad Gorge is open for hiking, picnicking and day outings. Guided tours can be arranged by calling the park.

Skyline Drive is an 18-mile-long gravel road that traverses the park, providing access to 32 miles of multipurpose trails. A series of interpretive signs on the historical and land-management aspects of the area are located throughout the park. Facilities include three primitive camping areas and four roadside picnic areas. No water or trash facilities are available.

1.Do you take reservations: Round Lake does NOT take reservations, it is a first come, first serve campground.
2.How large of an RV can fit in the campground?
Round Lake is a small campground designed for smaller RV's and tent camping. We recommend trailers 24' or less. There are NO electrical hook ups, water is available in the campground and there is a dump station near the entrance to the park. There are two building with flush toilets and showers.

Located at the northwest end of the Bureau of Reclamation's Lake Walcott Project, Lake Walcott State Park is perfect for camping and fishing. Picnickers enjoy the acres of grass beneath groves of stately eastern hardwoods. Paved trails connect restrooms, group shelters, an interpretive kiosk and boat launch with the modern campgrounds.
